This Bangladesh customer already had access to local construction projects and building-material sales channels. However, the previous manual production, small equipment, or outsourced supply could no longer meet orders consistently.
The customer needed a production line capable of stable commercial output, but did not want to take on the cost and operational complexity of a large fully automatic plant during the first stage of expansion.
Based on the customer’s order volume, workshop conditions, labor availability, and product requirements, HS recommended a QTY9-15 simplified production line rather than immediately pushing a larger model.
Compared with a small block machine, the QTY9-15 offered higher output per cycle and stronger daily production capacity, allowing the customer to supply contractors and building-material distributors more reliably. The simplified configuration also retained the flexibility of manual and forklift handling, allowing more of the budget to be invested in the main machine, molds, and raw materials instead of automation that was not yet necessary.
The purpose of the first production line was clear:
Establish stable production, deliver orders on time, and turn the first equipment investment into cash flow as quickly as possible.
During the first purchase, the customer wanted to produce more than standard hollow blocks. The factory also needed to cover high-profile blocks, curbstones, and other special concrete products required by local projects.
Some of these products exceeded the forming height of a standard machine. Simply changing the mold would not have been enough.
Based on the customer’s product dimensions, HS adjusted the QTY9-15 main frame, mold installation space, pressing stroke, and demolding clearance.
With the heightened configuration, the customer could produce both regular products and special high-profile products on one machine, without purchasing separate equipment for occasional customized orders.
This brought direct commercial value:
Fewer special orders lost because of machine limitations
Less dependence on a single product category
Higher utilization of the production line
Access to more differentiated, higher-value orders
A faster return on the first production-line investment
HS did not ask the customer to adapt their products to a standard machine. The machine was adapted to the products the customer intended to sell.
After the QTY9-15 entered operation, the customer’s product quality and delivery capability improved. Standard blocks could be supplied consistently, while the customized configuration allowed the factory to serve additional special-product orders.
The production-site photos and videos show a continuous process covering feeding, material distribution, forming, and block discharge. The freshly formed hollow blocks have clear holes and orderly dimensions, while interlocking pavers are being produced and stacked on pallets in commercial batches.
Once the market was proven, orders continued to grow.
The first production line then began facing a different kind of pressure:
Long operating hours were still not enough for concentrated orders
Standard and special products required frequent mold changes
Mold changes and adjustments interrupted main-product production
The factory could not build enough safety stock
Maintenance on the only production line stopped the entire factory
Larger project orders became difficult to accept with confidence
Continuing to push the first line harder would only increase overtime, mold-change losses, and delivery pressure. The customer no longer needed to copy the original capacity. The business needed a real production upgrade.
After approximately one year of operation, the customer chose HS again and purchased a higher-capacity QTY12-15 simplified production line.
This second investment was no longer a market test. It was an expansion of a business model that had already been proven.
With a larger forming area and higher output per cycle, the QTY12-15 is better suited to high-volume standard blocks and long-term bulk orders. It helps shorten the production time required for large orders, increase output per working hour, and spread labor and factory-management costs across more finished products.
The customer did not purchase another QTY9-15 because the market, production team, and operating experience had already reached a new stage.
The first line had confirmed that:
The products could be sold in the local market
Raw-material supply could remain stable
Operators could manage the equipment
Product quality met customer expectations
The factory could generate steady cash flow
With these conditions already proven, investing in the QTY12-15 was not reckless expansion. It was a practical way to capture demand that already existed.
After the second line was added, the two machines did not need to produce exactly the same products.
A more efficient division of work was possible.
The QTY12-15 simplified production line could focus on high-volume standard hollow blocks, solid bricks, or paving products. It could handle contractor bulk purchases, distributor orders, and regular inventory production.
The customized heightened QTY9-15 production line could continue producing special high-profile products, curbstones, small-batch customized blocks, and orders requiring more frequent mold changes.
This arrangement prevents special orders from repeatedly interrupting the production of high-volume standard products. The customer no longer has to choose between large orders and higher-margin customized work.
When one line is changing molds, undergoing maintenance, or adjusting products, the other can continue producing.
The customer gained more than higher total output:
More flexible production scheduling
Less time lost to frequent mold changes
More reliable delivery of large orders
Lower risk from single-line downtime
The ability to serve both standard and customized markets
Orders that were previously difficult to accept now have stronger production support.
During the expansion, the customer did not blindly pursue complete automation in every production stage.
The factory already had workers, forklifts, pallets, conventional curing areas, and an established system for handling finished products. The customer mainly needed to upgrade the processes that directly affected output and quality, including batching, mixing, conveying, feeding, material distribution, forming, and block discharge.
Green-block transfer, curing, and part of the stacking process could still be handled using existing labor and forklifts.
This allowed the customer to direct more of the budget toward main-machine capacity while reducing workshop modifications, auxiliary equipment costs, and additional maintenance points. The second line could therefore be installed and commissioned more quickly.
For this customer, automation was not about adding as much equipment as possible. Every additional machine had to help produce more qualified products, reduce labor, or shorten delivery time.
Customer satisfaction cannot be measured only by a statement that the machine is good.
Had the first production line failed to operate reliably, fulfill orders, or generate returns, the customer would not have returned one year later to purchase a larger model from the same supplier.
Choosing HS again showed recognition of both the equipment and the support received during the first year, including solution planning, product adjustment, operator training, remote troubleshooting, maintenance guidance, and spare-parts supply.
HS supported the project throughout the equipment lifecycle:
Before the sale: selecting the right model based on the market and investment scale
During delivery: providing production planning, workshop-layout guidance, and foundation-preparation support
After installation: assisting with commissioning, operator training, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Using two machines from the same supplier also helped the customer standardize operator training, maintenance procedures, spare-parts purchasing, and technical communication.
The machines create output. Continuous service helps protect that output from unnecessary downtime.
